When Alekisio Sofilino Uia was born on 27 April 1846, in Matahau, Tongatapu, Tonga, his father, Sofilino Veainu, was 21 and his mother, Losa Fotu, was 23. He married ToAKASE Salome about 1883, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 4 sons. He died in 1920, in his hometown, at the age of 74, and was buried in Matahau, Tongatapu, Tonga.
