Katariina Josefiina Ranne was born on 17 July 1871, in Siikainen, Turku and Pori, Finland as the daughter of no name given and Wilhelmina Gustafsdotter Leppäluoma. She married Johan Henrik Leppaniemi on 5 March 1905. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 18 January 1960, in Pori, Turku and Pori, Finland, at the age of 88.
