He married Lily Pearl Williams on 6 April 1887, in Gibson, Tennessee, United States. He lived in Civil District 10, Wilson, Tennessee, United States in 1870. He registered for military service in 1899. He died on 22 June 1901, in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 40, and was buried in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee, United States.

1862 · Battle of Shiloh

The battle of Shiloh took place on April 6, 1862 and April 7, 1862. Confederate soldiers camp through the woods next to where the Union soldiers were camped at Pittsburg Landing on the Tennessee River. With 23,000 casualties this was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War up to this point.
