When Françoise Lhortet was born on 31 December 1770, in Cluses, Haute-Savoie, France, her father, Antoine Lhortet, was 39 and her mother, Marie Jaqueline Aimée Gathier, was 32. She married Jacques Maniguet on 22 January 1794, in Cluses, Haute-Savoie, France. They were the parents of at least 3 daughters. She died on 9 July 1820, in her hometown, at the age of 49.
