When Jakob Teuscher was born on 3 January 1762, in Riedern Diemtigen, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Niclaus Teuscher, was 37 and his mother, Barbara Raeber, was 31. He married Susanna Tritten in 1789, in Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died on 1 February 1823, at the age of 61, and was buried in Diemtigen, Bern, Switzerland.
