Nicolas Armendáriz Sánchez was born in 1809, in Chihuahua, Mexico as the son of Miguel Armendáriz Enríquez and María Martina Sánchez Ontiveros. He married Dolores Sambrano Gómez on 11 February 1834, in Chihuahua, Mexico. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 7 April 1892, in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, at the age of 83.
