When Ulrich Mosiman was born about 16 May 1652, in Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Michael Mosimann, was 29 and his mother, Barbara Pfister, was 27. He married Maria Grossenbacher on 6 March 1674, in Affoltern im Emmental, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 9 October 1742, in his hometown, at the age of 90, and was buried in Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland.
