When Elizabeth Schurman was born in 1817, in Centreville, Prince, Prince Edward Island, Canada, her father, Isaac Schurman, was 43 and her mother, Jane 'Jennie' Lefurgey, was 33. She married Thomas Wright on 5 April 1837. They were the parents of at least 1 son. She died on 26 February 1839, in her hometown, at the age of 22.
