Timotea Sangüeza was born on 18 December 1857, in Macha, Colquechaca, Chayanta, Potosí, Bolivia as the daughter of Mariano Sangueza and Paula Arancivia. She married Modesto Aguirre in 1888, in Sacaca, Alonzo de Ibáñez, Potosí, Bolivia. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter.
