When Ludvig Axel Kaas was born on 25 July 1882, his father, Peder Ludvig Kaas, was 28 and his mother, Ane Marie Clemmensen, was 27. He immigrated to Minnesota, United States in 1912 and lived in San Jose, Santa Clara, California, United States in 1920. He died on 3 December 1960, in Sacramento, California, United States, at the age of 78.
