When Catharina Mosimann was born on 11 January 1761, in Lauperswil, Bern, Switzerland, her father, Hans Mosimann, was 39 and her mother, Anna Ellenberger, was 35. She married Ulrich Schüppach on 24 October 1783, in Biglen, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 18 March 1830, at the age of 69.
