When Hannah Woodman was born on 6 May 1703, in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, United States, her father, Deacon Archelaus Woodman Sr., was 30 and her mother, Hannah Swett, was 28. She married Joshua Hale on 13 October 1716, in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. She died in 1780, in her hometown, at the age of 77.

1776 · The Declaration to the King

"At the end of the Second Continental Congress the 13 colonies came together to petition independence from King George III.
