When Catharine "Kitty" Shoup was born about 1787, in Pennsylvania, United States, her father, Sebastian Joseph Shoup, was 26 and her mother, Mary Magdelena Dilts, was 21. She married John B. Dilsaver on 4 June 1808, in Fairfield, Ohio, United States. She died on 26 September 1821, in Delaware, Ohio, United States, at the age of 35, and was buried in Bokes Creek Cemetery, Millville, Delaware, Ohio, United States.

1787 · The Making of the U.S. Constitution.

The Philadelphia Convention was intended to be the first meeting to establish the first system of government under the Articles of Confederation. From this Convention, the Constitution of the United States was made and then put into place making it one of the major events in all American History.

1787 · Second State to Ratify U.S. Constitution

On December 12, 1787, Pennsylvania ratified the U.S. Constitution.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.
