He lived in Cardston Alberta Temple, Cardston, Cardston County, Alberta, Canada in 1906 and Alberta, Canada in 1916. He died on 17 August 1920, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Canada, at the age of 52, and was buried in Gros Ventre, County of Forty Mile No. 8, Alberta, Canada.
