He married Bodil Rasmusdatter about 1685, in Tullebølle, Langelands Nørre, Svendborg, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He died about April 1713, in his hometown, at the age of 60, and was buried in Bøstrup, Tranekær, Denmark.
