He married Anna Uffschlag on 4 February 1727, in Streich, Berglen, Rems-Murr-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 6 daughters. He died on 15 April 1790, in his hometown, at the age of 85.
