They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Jackson Township, Muskingum, Ohio, United States in 1840 and Jackson, Muskingum, Ohio, United States in 1850. He died on 2 October 1851, in Licking, Ohio, United States, at the age of 49, and was buried in Perryton, Licking, Ohio, United States.

A will written in Staunton County, VA, in 1806 begins ‘‘In the Name of God, Amen, I, Francis Acord …’’ but is signed in German script as Frantz Eckhardt.
