She married Preston Ford Southern on 12 February 1837, in DeKalb, Tennessee, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 6 daughters. She lived in Justice Precinct 1, Shelby, Texas, United States in 1870 and Justice Precinct 4, Wise, Texas, United States in 1880. She died on 7 March 1889, in Erath, Texas, United States, at the age of 67, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Huckabay, Erath, Texas, United States.
