When Selalune Moala was born about 1875, in Tonga, his father, Moala Fungalei Tapuvakai, was 46 and his mother, Ana Fehoko, was 51. He married Semi in 1903, in Pangai, Ha'apai, Tonga. He died in his hometown, and was buried in Tongatapu, Tonga.
