When George Munson was born in 1786, in Harrison, Kentucky, United States, his father, Samuel Munson Jr., was 23 and his mother, Clarissa Clary Hudspeth, was 27. He married Carrie Louise Lovicy Forrest on 1 May 1807, in Bourbon, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 10 June 1852, in Moultrie, Illinois, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Moultrie, Illinois, United States.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
