When Jesse Moran was born in 1784, in Halifax, North Carolina, United States, his father, James Shirley Moran, was 29 and his mother, Margaret Locke, was 27. He married Bethena Bailey on 15 September 1808, in Baldwin, Georgia, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 22 February 1855, in Tallapoosa, Alabama, United States, at the age of 71.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
