When Siosaia Fifita Fonua was born about 1894, in Ha`ano, Ha'apai, Tonga, his father, Tupa Fonua, was 31 and his mother, Finau Mapuiofanga, was 29. He married 'Ana 'Anau 'Onevai in 1914, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 6 daughters. He died about 1958, in Talafo`ou, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 64, and was buried in Pea, Tongatapu, Tonga.
