Halaifonua Ita'aehau Leka was born about 1856, in Te`ekiu, Tongatapu, Tonga as the son of Sione Halaifonua 'Ita'aehau. He married Vai about 1878, in Tonga. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died in 1882, in Houma, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 27.
