She married David Osborn on 16 January 1813, in Greene, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 4 daughters. She died on 13 July 1873, in Chester, Meigs, Ohio, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Sand Hill Cemetery, Olive Township, Meigs, Ohio, United States.

1797 · Albany is Named Capital of New York

Albany became the capital of New York in 1797. Albany is the oldest continuous settlement of the original 13 colonies.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.
