Maria Hess was born in 1629, in Häslach, Tübingen, Württemberg, Germany as the daughter of Hans Christian Haass and Anna Dietzen. She married Joseph Laub on 6 June 1654, in Altenriet, Nürtingen, Württemberg, Germany. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. She died in 1697, in Germany, at the age of 68.
