When Elsbeth Looser was born on 30 July 1684, in Nesslau, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, her father, Wendelin Looser, was 61 and her mother, Anna Barbara Geiger, was 28. She married Niklaus Lieberherr on 23 October 1701. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 21 April 1758, in her hometown, at the age of 73.
