When Anders Sorensen was born about 1795, in Skørring, Skanderborg, Denmark, his father, Søren Andersen, was 52 and his mother, Else Andersen, was 37. He married Kirsten LaursDatter on 3 January 1820, in Skørring, Skanderborg, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 5 sons. He lived in Storring, Framlev, Århus, Denmark in 1840. He died on 17 January 1870, at the age of 76.

Odense Teater is Denmark's second oldest theater and one of the country's three main theaters. It is where Hans Christian Andersen started as a writer and is where The Pillars of Society was first performed.
