Frances Jane Robins was born on 14 February 1839, in Hales Ford, Franklin County, Virginia, United States as the daughter of Manquatha Robins. She married PVT. Greenberry Greer on 13 December 1853, in Franklin County, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. She lived in Franklin, Virginia, United States in 1880 and Beavercreek Township, Greene, Ohio, United States for about 10 years. She died on 8 January 1930, in Peru, Peru Township, Miami, Indiana, United States, at the age of 90, and was buried in Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill, Pipe Creek Township, Miami, Indiana, United States.

1844 · Lumpkin's Jail

In 1844 when Robert Lumpkin bought land in Virginia, this would be the spot of the Infamous Slave Jail (or Lumpkin’s Jail). The slaves would be brought here during the slave trade until they were sold. Lumpkin had purchased the land for his own slave business.
