Joran Halsteensdatter was born about 1721, in Nes, Hole, Buskerud, Norway as the daughter of Halsteen Veggersen Hoversgaard and Ingeborg Olsdatter. She married Knud Pedersen on 8 November 1749, in Nes, Buskerud, Norway. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. She died about 1761, at the age of 42.
