When Martin Peter Christensen Kjeldsen was born on 15 October 1897, in Ullerup, Aggersborg, Ålborghus, Denmark, his father, Niels Peter Christensen Kjeldsen, was 37 and his mother, Mariane Madsen, was 32. He married Marta Alfrida Dahl on 12 June 1930, in Beadle, South Dakota, United States. He immigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1920 and lived in United States in 1949 and Arlington, Kingsbury, South Dakota, United States in 1950. He died on 22 October 1988, at the age of 91.
