He married Maria Cleotilde Vallarta Ramos on 12 February 1885, in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit, Mexico. They were the parents of at least 4 daughters. He died on 4 May 1918, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, at the age of 68, and was buried in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
