Nancy Armbruster was born on 18 January 1809, in Berkley, Norfolk, Virginia, United States as the daughter of Michael Ambruster and Anna. She married John C Gray on 8 April 1828, in Berkeley, West Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. She lived in Butler Township, Mercer, Ohio, United States for about 20 years. She died on 25 December 1885, in Mercer, Ohio, United States, at the age of 76.
