When Hannah Ayers was born in 1746, in Morris, New Jersey, British Colonial America, her father, John Ayers, was 27 and her mother, Joanna Inslee, was 28. She married Epenetus Beach Jr. on 25 December 1771, in Basking Ridge, Bernards Township, Somerset, New Jersey, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She died on 14 April 1777, at the age of 31.

1775

During the six-year Revolutionary war, more of the fights took place in New Jersey than any other colony. Over 296 engagements between opposing forces were recorded. One of the largest conflicts of the entire war took place between Morristown and Middlebrook, referred to as the "Ten Crucial Days" and remembered by the famous phrase "the times that try men's souls". The revolution won some of their most desperately needed victories during this time.
