When Azuba Blackington was born on 12 December 1797, in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States, her father, Oliver Blackinton, was 36 and her mother, Mary Daggett, was 31. She married John Tifft on 22 November 1823, in Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. She died on 9 May 1832, in her hometown, at the age of 34, and was buried in Plainville, Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States.

The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years.
