He lived in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut, United States in 1870 and Marshfield, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States in 1880. He died on 19 September 1888, in Acushnet, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in River Bend Cemetery, Westerly, Washington, Rhode Island, United States.
