He married Anna Petrea Marie Oftedahl on 8 November 1899, in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway in 1900. He died on 24 January 1926, at the age of 59.
