When Peter Casper Schrock was born on 1 September 1795, in Berlin, Somerset, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, Johann Caspar Schrock, was 51 and his mother, Mary Stuckey, was 40. He married Mary Marker about 1818, in Somerset, Pennsylvania, United States. He died on 1 May 1846, in Smithville, Wayne, Ohio, United States, at the age of 50, and was buried in Paradise Cemetery, Green Township, Wayne, Ohio, United States.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.
