Eliza Byrd was born about 1816, in Roane, Tennessee, United States as the daughter of Jesse Byrd and Sarah Renfro. She married James E Bohannon on 25 November 1841, in Roane, Tennessee, United States. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 2 daughters. She lived in Rhea, Tennessee, United States in 1860. She died in 1867, at the age of 52.

1819 · Panic! of 1819

1820 · Making States Equal

The Missouri Compromise helped provide the entrance of Maine as a free state and Missouri as a slave state into the United States. As part of the compromise, slavery was prohibited north of the 36°30′ parallel, excluding Missouri.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
