Brief Life History of Ingiríður
When Ingiríður Björnsdóttir was born on 9 September 1818, in Vestmannaeyjar, Southern, Iceland, her father, Björn Björnsson, was 29 and her mother, Helga Stefánsdóttir, was 34. She married Runólfur "barkrókur" Magnússon on 20 May 1844, in Vestmannaeyjar, Southern, Iceland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 4 July 1870, in her hometown, at the age of 51, and was buried in Vestmannaeyjar, Southern, Iceland.
