When Manuel Ordaz Novelo was born in 1876, in Hunucmá, Yucatán, Mexico, his father, Tirzo Marìa de la Paz Ordaz Ayuso, was 40 and his mother, Maria Rita Novelo Castro, was 23. He married Tomasa Bacelis in 1897, in Holbox, Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico. They were the parents of at least 4 sons. He died on 6 April 1926, in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, at the age of 50, and was buried in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.
