    After the Constitution was made, some objections were raised by Anti-Federalists. So, in response ten amendments were discussed and voted on to become The Bill of Rights. These rights were made to clarify and guarantee certain freedoms of residents of the country.

    1791 · Whiskey Rebellion Occurs

    The Whiskey Rebellion was a protest against taxes on whiskey by farmers and distillers. People were tarred and feathered. They attacked Bower Hill and headed towards Pittsburgh. The militia was sent in to try and stop it. It finally ended with a repeal of the tax.

    History: Joseph Underwood emigrated from England to Watertown, MA, in 1637. William Underwood came from England to Concord, MA, before 1640, later settling in Chelmsford, MA. In VA, the name was established by Thomas William Underwood, who came from Norfolk, England, in 1675.
