When Mary Morgan was born on 12 February 1766, in Hanover Court, Pottstown, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, United States, her father, Rev. James Morgan Sr., was 37 and her mother, Mary Davis, was 28. She married Arthur Parr on 22 February 1782, in Guilford, North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 6 daughters. She died on 20 January 1837, in Clark, Indiana, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Franklin Cemetery, Salem, Washington Township, Washington, Indiana, United States.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
