When Peder Nielsen was born about 1622, in Gunderup, Ålborghus, Denmark, his father, Mr Niels, was 28 and his mother, Mrs Niels, was 24. He married Kirstine Jensdatter on 5 March 1648, in Gunderup, Ålborghus, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 22 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 12 April 1661, at the age of 40.
