When Jons Nilsson was born on 25 February 1722, in Norrvidinge, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Nils Jonsson, was 33 and his mother, Helle Wig, was 29. He married Karna Truedsdotter on 20 April 1746, in Västra Karaby, Harjager, Malmöhus, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 6 daughters. He died on 23 December 1786, in his hometown, at the age of 64, and was buried in Norrvidinge, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden.
