He married Maria Agnetis Schreiber on 9 May 1782, in Nieder Saulheim, Oppenheim, Rheinhessen, Grand Duchy of Hesse, German Empire. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 28 October 1795, in Nieder Saulheim, Oppenheim, Rheinhessen, Grand Duchy of Hesse, German Empire, at the age of 50.
