Siaosi Kafalava was born as the son of Semi Usaia Tuliakiono and Lesieli Vea Latu. He married Lupe Tu'i'ile'ila about 1917, in Kolofo'ou, Tongatapu, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 17 February 1989, in Masilamea, Tongatapu, Tonga, and was buried in Masilamea, Tongatapu, Tonga.
