When Siaiku Hosea was born about 1877, in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga, his father, Hosea Latu, was 59 and his mother, Tonu'ahau Tahifisi, was 49. He married Seluvaia Popua in 1900, in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died on 30 January 1916, in his hometown, at the age of 40.
