He married Winifred Stodghill on 30 August 1797, in Greenbrier, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Monroe, Virginia, United States in 1810 and Lick Township, Jackson, Ohio, United States in 1840. He died on 1 May 1843, in Jackson, Ohio, United States, at the age of 75.
