Drewry Prewitt was born on 28 December 1820, in Carolina, Jutiapa, Cabañas, El Salvador. He married Priscilla Wallis on 23 January 1842. He died on 11 May 1911, in Searcy, Arkansas, United States, at the age of 90.

    1821 · Financial Relief for Public Land

    Age 1

    A United States law to provide financial relief for the purchasers of Public Lands. It permitted the earlier buyers, that couldn't pay completely for the land, to return the land back to the government. This granted them a credit towards the debt they had on land. Congress, also, extended credit to buyer for eight more years. Still while being in economic panic and the shortage of currency made by citizens, the government hoped that with the time extension, the economy would improve.

    The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.
