He married Prudence Skeen about 1754, in Chester, Pennsylvania, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 30 September 1823, in his hometown, at the age of 90, and was buried in Bradford Friends Burying Ground, Marshallton, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States.
